The Christmas celebration of Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Sunday School only ended last Sunday. On the Sunday before Christmas the kindergarten had its celebration. Then on the afternoon of Christmas Day the infant department of The Sunday School, over 200 scholars, met in the schoolhouse and from there went to the church, where the exercises, consisting of singing and recitations, were held. In the evening of the same day the Bible class and the intermediate department again gathered in the church and a fine program was rendered. A beautiful Christmas tree had been trimmed and all the children received presents of books and candy. Many of the teachers were remembered by their scholars. A midnight service, which was held by the congregation on New Year’s Eve, was well attended. The Arion Singing Society also had its Christmas festival on New Year’s evening at Sieb’s Central Hotel.
