John Niederstein, the new County Clerk of Queens, met about a hundred and fifty of his friends at the office in Jamaica New Year’s Day, where he was made the recipient of a beautiful horseshoe of roses. The party then went over to the Chub Club rooms where they were tendered refreshments and from there to Middle Village, where a thousand neighbors gathered to salute the new official. A collation was served there.
