At the corner of 69th Street and 61st Road you will find a brand-new safety pad installed on a pedestrian ramp. Unfortunately, it is anything but safe. The genius that placed it did so without removing the plastic covering, making it a slip hazard, especially in rain and snow. We’ve noticed this at a lot of intersections and can’t help but wonder why the DOT hires such incompetent people to oversee the installation of safety pads.
