Grocer Rudolph Nolte Discovered in His Wagon Cold and Lifeless By Policeman was Returning to His Home at Maspeth, Long Island
Sitting bolt upright in his seat, his hands clutching the reins, and apparently asleep, Rudolph Nolte, a grocer, 40 years old, of Maspeth, Long Island, was discovered dead in his wagon yesterday afternoon.
Bicycle Patrolman Conway saw a horse attached to a grocery wagon slowly proceeding along Leonard St. He sprang from his wheel, climbed into the wagon, and tried in vain to awaken the man. Tossing his bicycle into the vehicle, Conway drove rapidly to the Stagg Street station where an ambulance surgeon pronounced the man dead.
