Fools on the footbridge
The footbridges over the Long Island Expressway often are dumping sites. We aren’t sure why, as it takes more effort to carry the item up the ramp than it does to place it curbside on collection night.
A call to DSNY did the trick.
Clean up after yourselves
A wooden bracket covered with a black canvas was blown over by strong winds and blocked this Clinton Avenue sidewalk. There hadn’t been road construction there for months, and if this had been removed once the work was done, it wouldn’t have caused a problem. DSNY was notified and rectified the situation.
Clean clothes, dirty wall
Graffiti brings the neighborhood down. There’s no reason to leave graffiti on display and lots of reasons to remove it as soon as possible. It’s easy to report graffiti via 311 online. If the owner doesn’t remove it, the City will do so.
