Community members joined Parks Department reps June 11th to weed, plant and mulch at Elmhurst Park as part of an officially declared “Day of Service.” A rosebud tree was also planted in memory of Jennifer Kao (inset photo), a 12-year Parks Dept employee who died tragically this past May. Ms. Kao was a senior manager in the planning and parks land division and played a big role in the planning of Elmhurst Park.
