In late June, a new stoplight was installed at the corner of 79th Street and Juniper Blvd South. The plan for this was previously reported in the March 2018 Juniper Berry. The location of this stoplight is less than ideal, being that there is already another one a block away on 80th Street. The installation happened to block a good portion of the sidewalk on the Juniper Valley Park side of the street, which presented a problem for anyone in a wheelchair or pushing a baby stroller. The work was reviewed, and the box was swiveled 90 degrees by the DOT in early August.
