The DOT announced that it will begin issuing bus lane camera violations along the Q58 bus route after a 60-day warning period which expired December 7. The cameras are attached to the front of buses and will automatically ticket anyone blocking the new dedicated southbound bus lane on Fresh Pond Road during 3-7pm, the hours that the lane is in effect. The first violation will cost $50, with fines increasing with additional violations over a 12-month period to a maximum of $250.
