A $4M plan to renovate Cardinal Field in Juniper Valley Park has been revealed. The project will include the installation of an artificial turf infield and underground retention tanks, protective netting, additional benches, water fountains, trash cans and paths, as well as new dugouts and chain link fences. The major thing it will seek to eliminate is the drainage problem after a rain. The project is in the design phase, which is expected to take another year. Construction is expected to end in 2027.
