Three chain stores have opened outlets along Grand Avenue. Key Food moved its operations to the old Duane Reade site on May 24th, while its former location is now an organic market. Carvel opened May 3rd where the Stokes Hallmark store was across the street from the Maspeth Bingo Hall. And Starbucks opened at the Shops on Grand Avenue (Stop & Shop mall) on April 28th. There's more to come! As we write this, Bake Bagel is in the works on Flushing Ave near 61st Street, Patrizia's is set to open in the old McDonald's location, and there is a rotisserie chicken spot coming soon to the former Scala Bakery location.
