Congestion pricing went into effect January 5, charging motorists $9 every time they venture south of 60th Street in Manhattan. Then on February 19, it was ended by Sean Duffy, the Transportation Secretary, who cited a variety of reasons for the about face on the approval for the pilot program. Governor Hochul announced that the cameras would stay active while the MTA’s lawsuit challenging the reversal played out. Stay tuned, this will continue to be a bumpy ride.
