Speaking of buses, just what kind is this? Where did it come from? Who owns it? Those are the questions we have been trying to find answers to since it first appeared on Starr Street outside the entrance to Linden Hill Cemetery in late January. The abandoned double decker vehicle, which looks like something out of a science fiction movie or an acid trip, has everyone stumped. The 104 Pct left a notice on it instructing the owner to move it, but to no avail. The thing has no license plates, half its tires are flat, and it appears to have been vandalized. No one seems to be inhabiting it – yet. The NYPD’s heavy tow truck could not handle it, so its removal has been delegated to Sanitation. This may be the biggest piece of refuse they’ve ever been asked to pick up!

Update 3/10/25: The bus was partially dismantled by DSNY and removed by NYPD.
