Captain Mastronardi warns that mailbox “phishing” has seen a large increase in the command and this even includes the new retrofitted mailboxes. He is urging folks to use the post office, not a mailbox, whenever possible. If you must use a mailbox, try to do so in the morning to ensure that the mail is picked up. The nighttime hours are when thieves are most likely to strike so try to get your mail in the box before the sun goes down. Mailboxes hit so far include:
