The only borough command in NYC that saw an increase in murders this year was Queens North – with a 62% rise from 13 to 21 so far, new police data show.Great, wait until we get the IBX
Includes Elmhurst

Chase bank on 80th street?
Hoping for a good outcome.
I hope she is found unharmed.
This girl has been missing for two weeks and this is the first we are seeing of it? WTF????
She’s not from middle village, there is no chase bank on 80th …. Too many inconsistencies in this article to make it believable

Getting the IBX on Track for Development | amNewYork
www.amny.com
Planning to convert a barely used railroad right-of-way running from the Bay Ridge waterfront through Brooklyn to Jackson Heights, Queens for passenger light5.5 billion dollars for roughly 160,000 riders …most people still need to get to Manhattan …
“Upzoning for stops around Eliot Ave, Grand and Metro… along with Utica. That pretty much means Chase, 7/11, Teddys and former Buon location would be prime for development.
Was there an environmental study done and an outreach to homeowners?
Big payoff for who?
Build apartment buildings next to the new Stadium in Buffalo and Hocul’s house.
Ruining neighborhoods
It is ridiculous and misleading for the MTA and the government to suggest that the IBX is a much needed train route between queens and Brooklyn when, in actuality, they will have to tear up private one and two family homes along the route to build high rises to create demand that does not currently exist for this train line. The project requires a population shift to the route to make the project viable otherwise it cannot sustain itself. Of course, this is a real estate developer’s dream, but there is no guaranty demand will ever materialize.
The city needs this like a hole in the head. Just a project to keep the people at 347 Madison Ave busy ! Remember Crisis means Cash!
Why does it say "Brooklyn and Queens that can help meet the desperate shortage of housing"? I see several apartment buildings being built or vacant along Queens Blvd and more being built on Woodhaven. Maspeth is a residential neighborhood and thats why people moved into the area.
Run the IBX thru Hochuls backyard!

Gentrification equals votes!!! Indoctrinated college jerkoffs come to NYC and change the voting map! Can't people understand politicians refuse to give up the power and cator to these people? Not rocket science people!! Gentrification is the enemy of America!!
Who really wants this crap. Maybe when Elise Stefanik is voted Governor, this rail could be cancelled. Our neighborhoods are fine the way they are. We don’t need skyscrapers.
