Jerry Drake is an extremely talented musician with a fine ear. Listen to his songs and his melodies will pull you in, and then you will want to dance…be it a samba, cha cha, or swing tune.

Jerry Drake & the Front Page Big Band will be performing live at the Knockdown Center in Maspeth at 52-19 Flushing Avenue at 7:30 pm on the first Friday of every month during the summer. The upcoming concert dates are Friday July 6th and Friday August 3rd.

Jerry will be singing standards and new original music in the style of the Great American Songbook. Concerts will feature special guest stars like Arketa Kelley, who sings classics like “Stand by Me,” “In the Still of the Night,” and “Respect.”

Knockdown Center Director Tyler Myers said, “We're really happy to bring concerts like this and culture to the community, and Jerry is a such a big part of the community.”

Jerry Drake has enjoyed a career as a teacher at various schools throughout Queens for the past few decades. He's also performed as a singer and musician throughout Queens and Manhattan. He has a passion for bringing new lyrics to the old-time American Jazz Big Band style.

“I've been singing, writing, and performing songs all my life. It is a dream come true to do these concerts,” says Drake.

Jerry Drake's next TV Appearance will be on Talents Unlimited, hosted by Gary Scudero on Tuesday, June 12th EST at 8 pm on Channel 34. He will be on the Steve Ames Show in July, date is TBD.
