The campaign finance board publishes an annual voter guide that is mailed to voters prior to Election Day. This year, voters received the guide in late October for the November 5 election. The guide contained outdated polling site information which resulted in voters being instructed to head to the wrong place to vote on Election Day. The CFB blamed the snafu on the Board of Elections, and the BOE blamed it on the CFB. To rectify the situation, a postcard mailer was sent out with the correct locations on them to 150,000 voters who may or may not have been disenfranchised by the misleading information. Your tax dollars at work.
