CBS posted a video on their website the morning of November 5th which showed a man in a very conspicuous green and black jacket climbing the steps of a home on Juniper Blvd South near 69th Street and stealing a child’s scooter from the landing. The link was posted in the JPCA Facebook group the following morning. Maspeth resident Phil Hickey viewed the video and later recognized the man, who was walking with the stolen scooter, near PS128. He confronted the man and retrieved the scooter. The grateful family it was stolen from picked the scooter up later that day. The thief is believed to be homeless. No charges were filed over the incident. Please keep belongings secured.
