Congratulations go to Met Food Supermarket owner, Bill Fani, for his confidence in our Middle Village neighborhood. His expansion of Met Food Supermarket in the face of very high rents demonstrates the profitability of our “downtown” Middle Village where all the businesses are thriving.

Met Food Supermarket on Eliot Avenue in Middle Village has expanded and modernized its store an additional 2,000 square feet to a total of around 8,000 square feet. No it’s not a monster store where you need to hail a bus to get from one side to the other! It’s better. Everything is intact, neatly stacked and did I mention it’s a clean store? How many supermarkets can you go into and say they are clean? Not many. In fact they’re usually quite dirty.

We’re very fortunate here in Middle Village to have Met Food available to us where everyone is friendly and helpful. It’s more like a social visit when you do your weekly shopping and now we have a modern and larger store, a neat package of all our food choices right on the corner of Eliot Avenue and 80th Street in Middle Village. See you at the new Met!
