Join Us As Our Special Guests On June 24th For Our Event’s 20th Anniversary!

The courage of cancer survivors and their caregivers inspires us to fight. Join us this year at the Relay for Life of Middle Village to support the American Cancer Society. This 20th anniversary event is a time for all of us to come together as a community to celebrate our survivors, remember loved ones lost, and fight back together for lifesaving change.

The American Cancer Society and the 2023 Middle Village Relay for Life Committee would like to invite all cancer survivors, their caregivers, and their loved ones to join us as our honored guests at our event on June 24, 2023. You deserve to be celebrated! Come join other survivors in the community for the survivor lap while the rest of us cheer you on! Be sure to register online ahead of time to receive your survivor shirt in the mail.

Relay For Life of Middle Village will be held at Juniper Valley Park at Brennan Field and will begin at 3:00 PM. In celebration of the event’s twentieth year, the theme will be ‘The Roaring 20s.” Expect a fun-packed evening with games, prizes, and a few surprises. After the sun sets, the luminaria that line the track, each one dedicated to another loved one, will be lit. During this time, participants will remember and honor those we have lost, together as a community.

“This event and this ACS community exists to support one another, and we want to be sure that everyone in the community knows they are not alone,” says Danni Frank, the American Cancer Society staff partner for the Middle Village event. “We are here for you – if your family member is currently fighting, you have beat it three times, you have lost someone very close, you lost someone before you were born. Your ‘Reason Why’ matters, and that is what we are going to celebrate, remember, and fight back for together.”

THIS IS NOT A LONG DISTANCE OR RACE EVENT. RELAY IS APPROPRIATE AND ACCESSIBLE FOR PEOPLE OF ALL AGES AND ABILITIES.
