Captain August Geiser, of Graham Avenue, on Tuesday last, had a business transaction with a Middle Village farmer and was presented with a pair of young rabbits for his children’s amusement. On the way home some practical joker exchanged the rabbits for two young kittens without the captain being the wiser.
When he reached his domicile Captain Geiser gave to his wife the basket containing the animals, at the same time telling her all about the pretty little “bunnies” within. His surprise may be imagined when, upon uncovering the basket, Mrs. Geiser sarcastically questioned his knowledge as a judge of game as she raised aloft the infantile felines.
