The massive upzoning of Queens Blvd has claimed another casualty – this time it's the 40-year old Georgia Diner. The owner of the diner is closing it on March 25th in order to “merge” it with the Nevada Diner across the blvd. He has sold the entire diner property to a developer for $14.25 (in addition to selling the rear lot for $26.5M in 2014). Replacing the diner will be an 18-story mixed use building with 184 apartments and 4 floors of community facility space.
