On November 15, 2021, President Biden signed into law the $1.2 trillion Infrastructure Investment and Jobs Act, H.R. 3684, also known as the Bipartisan Infrastructure Framework. This law is a once-in-a-generation initiative to mod- ernize 20,000 miles of highways, roads, and main streets, rebuild bridges, and upgrade ports, airports, and transit systems. It will deliver clean drinking water, a renewed electric grid, and high-speed broadband to all Americans while creating hundreds of thousands of jobs. To ensure this historic law is deployed as effectively as possible in the Sixth Congressional District, Rep. Grace Meng is encouraging her constituents to fill out the form below to offer suggestions for infrastructure projects to receive federal funding. Only suggestions from NY-06 constituents will be considered.
We suggest you ask Ms. Meng to fund the decking of the Long Island Expressway in Maspeth between Hamilton and 69th Places. This project would provide open space for the community and hide the polluting expressway. It’s time our neighborhood received its fair share of federal funding.
The deadline to submit a proposal is March 10, 2023. The form is at tinyurl.com/MengFeedbackForm
