At our next Town Meeting on June 22nd, JPCA will be honoring Jonathan Kulig of Glendale for a selfless act of heroism he performed on April 1st. A passenger had fallen onto the subway tracks at the 3rd Avenue L train station. Kulig, who had just gotten off a train seconds before, did not hesitate in jumping down to the tracks to rescue the ill straphanger by lifting him back onto the platform. A train entered the station a minute later. Kulig, who works as a supervisor for Con Ed, had recently completed the MTA’s track-safety training program, which helped prepare him to perform this good deed.
