An 82-year-old man who usually walks with a dog has been observed checking to see if cars parked in Middle Village have been left unlocked. If he finds that they are, he'll take whatever items he finds inside. We do not know if this is part of an illness or if he is doing this intentionally. Despite being arrested for these crimes and having been featured in a NY1 news report, the elderly perp has been seen back out on the street continuing his pilfering ways. The Queens district attorney says the man is scheduled to be arraigned this month on third-degree unauthorized use of a vehicle and petit larceny charges. Please make sure to lock your car doors at all times and do not leave valuables in your vehicles. The NYPD needs to monitor this man's behavior and place notices around the area.
