It is with sadness that the Juniper Park Civic Association announces the passing of longtime Juniper Berry historian and writer, Dorothy Speer on June 29th at the age of 95. Beloved wife of the late Henry. Devoted mother of James and Robert. Dear sister of Walter. Loving grandmother of 4 grandchildren and 1 great-grandson. As a historian, Dorothy wrote dozens of local history articles in newspapers for decades. She was a great lady with a love for history and community. She will be missed.
