Council Member Ruben Wills had a 72% no show rate for council meetings and was under indictment for stealing $30,000 from the city and state when Joseph Crowley's Queens County Democrats endorsed him for another term in July. Weeks later, Wills was convicted and lost his seat during sentencing and will likely be in the slammer by the end of the year. Well that was embarrassing. More for the constituents of that district than for Crowley, unfortunately.
