The NY Post reported on February 11th that Felix Perez, an alleged burglar who was shot in the groin by a 104th Pct cop during a scuffle over a gun on Hull Avenue last
August, is suing the NYPD for $10M, claiming to now be suffering from PTSD over the incident. Perez allegedly
stole jewelry from a home, was caught on a surveillance camera by the owner of the house and was shot after grabbing the gun of an officer who responded to the break-in. He managed to run out of the house but was arrested a block away. It's bad enough that taxpayers will have to pay to prosecute this guy yet again – he has 6 prior burglary
arrests – but we'll also be forced to shell out money to defend the NYPD in a bogus lawsuit.
