A roving band of at least 100 quad, dirt bike, scooter and motorcycle riders took to our local roads on July 17. The group was spotted on Grand Ave, Woodhaven Blvd, and various highways, but once they got to the Rockaways, they were blockaded by DSNY trucks and NYPD vehicles. The police are monitoring various social media to discover when these rides are scheduled but they are not allowed to chase them out of safety concerns. A dumb and reckless hobby.
