Update on the legal cases against the November 19, 2021, Middle Village rioters:
1 had case dismissed
2 have adjournments in contemplation of dismissal
1 pleaded guilty to lesser charges, was ordered to pay restitution to the victim (who has an order of protection), seek psych care, take his medications, and do 7 days of community service
1 will receive a Conditional Discharge in 1 Year, must do community service for 5 days and pay a $250 fine.
Hopefully the legal fees will dissuade them from further stupidity because the sentences aren’t much of a deterrent.
