Anthony Sciarratta, a Maspeth native, struck a deal with Post Hill Press to release his debut novel, Finding Forever. Set to be released on November 5th, 2019, Finding Forever is the story of a neurotic Italian-American man who meets a laid-back American girl. In this book, Anthony pays homage to his Italian heritage and various neighborhoods in Queens.

Anthony spent his entire life in the Maspeth and Middle Village areas. Whether it be attending school at Our Lady of Hope, playing in Juniper park, or eating pizza at Rosa’s, Anthony is a home bred product of the neighborhood.

Finding Forever opens in Astoria and also features Maspeth, Rego Park, and Little Neck. He included many staples of his life in Queens, including dining at his favorite seafood restaurant, London Lennie’s.
Writing this novel specifically took a great deal of research and planning. Finding Forever is authentic to the 1970s, an iconic era in American history. Being very nostalgic, Anthony takes great pride in labeling himself an old-soul. His love for classic films, music, and literature shows through his work.

Finding Forever was originally self-published through Amazon Kindle Direct Publishing where Anthony received exposure for his work and managed to build a personal brand. His novel will be republished by Post Hill Press, making his success story inspirational to self-published authors everywhere.

In addition to Finding Forever, Anthony is slated to release a second novel and a book of poetry with Post Hill Press. His second novel will feature Middle Village.

Anthony holds a Bachelor of Arts in Media Studies from Queens College and a Master of Arts in Communications from the New York Institute of Technology. He attended Our Lady of Hope middle school and St. Francis Preparatory school, having total loyalty to Queens as a student.
