The Department of Parks and Recreation, the Juniper Park Civic Association, the Juniper Valley Park Conservancy, Crifasi Real Estate and Council Member Robert Holden co-sponsored the 2019 Summer Concert Series at Juniper Valley Park. June 25 was the first concert by the Queens Symphony Orchestra. The band performed a Salute to America. Up next on July 9 was White Wedding which thrilled the crowd with Sounds of the ‘80s. The July 16 concert featured the Polka Brothers who performed an Octoberfest in July. Jerry Drake and the Front Page presented Original Music in the style of The Great American Songbook on July 30 and several people brought their dancing shoes. National Night Out Against Crime took place August 6 and was accompanied by a classic rock performance courtesy of Generations. After a rainout on July 23, Back To The Garden 1969 celebrated the 50th Anniversary of Woodstock during a makeup date on August 14. The concerts were a blast. Thank you to all who attended, performed and sponsored our events. And a special thanks to JPCA Executive Board Member Gary Colter for finding and booking our performers.
