At around 12:15am on Sunday morning August 6, a cyclist was heading eastbound on Metro and proceeded through a green light. The driver of a red sedan heading westbound on Metro made a left turn at 73 Place and hit the cyclist. The 23-year-old cyclist flew into the air and landed several feet away. He was not critically injured. The driver fled the scene. The car appeared to have plates, but security camera footage has not turned up yet showing a legible license plate. When you have a collision involving an injury, you are required to stop, and it’s also a requirement for being a decent human being.
