On July 19, cops from the 104th precinct responding to a 911 call about the theft of a large sum of money were able to make two arrests and seized illegal gambling evidence inside the former “Pieklo Bakery,” a closed business on Fresh Pond Road that was promoting an illegal gambling operation. The interesting thing about this was that one of the illegal gamblers was the person who made the 911 call. The owner allegedly took money he left on the table. The caller was not arrested but the owner and another worker were.
