Crain’s on July 29th reported the following, “[Amazon] is seeking to potentially lease a former industrial site at 55-15 Grand Ave. in Maspeth that can accommodate over 700,000 square feet of new warehouse space. If Amazon takes the site, a distribution facility customized for its use would be built on the property.” RXR Realty bought the property in January of this year for $72 million with partner LBA Logistics and released a rendering of their multi-story trucking warehouse. They demolished the existing building earlier this year. Permits have not yet been filed for the replacement structure.
