Sowed the soil in sweat to reap a harvest
Cranked a winch, winding weight,
Hauled a load
Welded a nation
Hear anvils ring
Raised ships of steel
A nation adrift at sea
Take up oars
Push earth’s waters weight
Into the future
Wind of labor’s strength
Forward the ship of state
They built the mightiest nation on earth.
