It would stand to reason that if you want to make a donation of furniture or clothing to the Salvation Army, then you would wait until their normal business hours to drop off the items – and do it inside the store instead of on their sidewalk! You aren't getting a tax deduction if you dump your old goods in front of the store, the organization can't resell things that have been weather damaged, and you're creating an eyesore for the whole neighborhood to see. Knock it off!
