I hope everyone had a restful summer. The Juniper Park Civic Association did and we’re ready for action. This issue highlights the dedication of our first responders, especially those that helped our city on September 11, 2001. They deserve our everlasting help, and recent legislation to replenish the Victims Compensation Fund is definitely an important step in the right direction. JPCA regularly works with our first responders to protect our neighborhoods’ quality of life. And a shout out to our teachers who just started another school year. Our city wouldn’t exist without all of these unsung heroes. Their work is challenging in different ways and they have our admiration and appreciation.
